Good to meet you.

Amanda Hua is a writer, researcher, and consultant skilled in data analysis, stakeholder management, and impact evaluation.

She has two master’s degrees in international political economy and international relations and specializes in translating data into insight. Her academic research experience includes studying the influence of institutions on economic development and the role of nationalism in U.S.-China trade relations. She is fluent in English and Mandarin and has trouble explaining where she is from due to her multicultural background and interests.

Amanda sews, hums, and dreams in her spare time of visiting all the coffee shops and vintage stores from Athens to Tokyo (and has researched and curated multiple lists for this purpose). Recently, she is most proud of two things: having the foresight to visit Jiro’s sushi before the pandemic and finally drinking close to eight cups of water a day. She and her partner Aris are adoptive humans to two white swiss shepherds, Tyr and Hachi.

Here’s a picture that I took in front of Taylor Swift’s New York home before I knew she lived here. Two men in black were eyeing me as I posed on the stairs. It all makes sense now.
